Workation

I don't have much time for vacation since I started my own business. The saying that being your own boss gives you all the possibilities in the world to plan your time and gives you loads of free time - it's all bulls*t. I've never worked as much and hard since I started on my own. I always work. But, it's by own choice so I can't really complain. When it comes to free time, of course I can take hours or even a day off, but I have customers to please, who counts on me doing what I'm paid to do. Taking time off during the day, means doing the work later that night.

Having said that, I've just landed back in the office after one week in the Tunisian sun. A week spent by the pool/beach side in sunny Sousse. Loads of sun, water, food and sleep. No computer, no thoughts of work. It was great!

Before taking off to Sousse I went to the more northern parts of Sweden to see Iggy Pop live [link to review in Swedish with some great pictures]. This 72 year old, still going strong dude is still really cool. I've never seen him live before, and I was positively surprised by his vitality and that fact that his powerful, deep voice is still there. I'm happy I went all those miles to see him!

My personal music memory from Sousse will definitely be this one. Artmasta featuring Mayssa & Dropholics. It was spinning every day by the pool people and it really got stuck in my brain.

The teenager was surprisingly social on this trip, but didn't share the same like in music. Her latest tracks for sharing are:

Wombats - Cheetah Tongue
Correspondents - Washington Square
Rat Boy - Oh No
I Prevail - DOA
